Please join us in welcoming Brian, Francis, Sarah, and Vivian (shown left to right) to the Canopy Life Family!
All four of our new students are in grade 6, and come from the community of Karogoto. Each of these students was originally selected to travel with our partner The Daraja Children’s Choir. Unfortunately, the Kenyan government is currently not allowing visas of this type for school children and the kids weren’t able to join the choir.
When we heard this from our friends at Daraja, we were thrilled to invite the kids to join us at Canopy Life. While we are not able to add an entire class this year due to a lack of space, we’ve been praying for a few new students to fill the remaining spots in our existing classes.
Being brand new to the school, Brian, Francis, Sarah, and Vivian are looking for folks to come around them as part of their Sponsor Families. Sponsor Families are made up of four Sponsors and one Global Mentor. Our goal at Canopy Life is to build authentic relationships between our students and Sponsor Families in creative and fun ways. With the Kenyan school year just getting started (kids attend school January to November), and with new students in our midst, now is a great time to come join us!
