Today is Canopy Life’s 9th birthday! We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to highlight our student, Brian, our first high school graduate!
If you’ve been following us on social media this month, you’ve likely heard about Brian Mwangi and Canopy Life’s significant milestone! Brian, who joined Canopy Life Academy as a young boy, is our very first student to be graduating from high school, which is not only a big deal for him personally but a big deal for our school, too!
Although you may think Canopy Life’s vision is contained within our students’ time on campus attending class, it actually lives mostly beyond their time at Canopy Life Academy.
We exist to empower kids to become godly, innovative leaders who can lead their families and communities out of poverty. Brian is JUST beginning this journey as he leaves Canopy Life and takes all that he has learned with him.
Take a look at Brian’s journey up to this point below!
Some things take time.
From the bright little guy who was all about airplanes in the 5th grade, to the High School graduate who dreams of becoming a Cardiologist (and pilot) and changing healthcare in his community for the better, Brian still has a long journey ahead of him.
Our current Canopy Life students will be watching Brian and the example he sets as he embarks on the next chapter of his story! His journey with Canopy Life doesn’t just end, we will certainly be walking with him in different ways over the coming years.
Whether you have been a part of this community for 9 minutes or 9 years, we invite you to celebrate with us! God is faithful, and he’s writing a crazy awesome story through Brian and his friends at Canopy Life.
We want to say a big thank you to all of Brian’s sponsors who have walked with him to this very pivotal point in his life and for all of our sponsors who give every month to a student.
While you may not see or hear of the changes happening in their lives on a daily basis, YOU are sowing into a much bigger story, a long term vision, for each of their lives. We can’t thank you enough for your patience as they grow and learn, and your courage to follow!
