These innovation projects are more than just learning exercises — they are tangible, real-world solutions. From building solutions that help them make their weekly chores easier, to designing agricultural methods that improve food sustainability, our students are creating powerful tools for change!

SOLUTIONS FOR THE FOOTBALL FIELD
In 2023, our Grade 7 students noticed that the football field (soccer field) was uneven. It was cracked, and at times, unsafe to run and play on. The students brought this to the attention of our innovation staff. They worked together to come up with a solution to fix these various problems by using design thinking!
MAKING LAUNDRY EASIER
Our Grade 6 students utilized affinity diagrams to brainstorm ideas that would solve some problems that arise when they do their laundry by hand.
MARKETING SOLUTIONS
This year, our students dove into the world of online advertising. They’ve been learning how to create eye-catching content and use social media to reach different audiences. From analyzing data, to understanding consumer behavior online – they’ve gained practical skills that they can apply to real-world marketing scenarios. Throughout the course, they’ve developed a keen sense of how digital tools can influence buying decisions and the ethical considerations involved.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
Our 8th grade students have been immersed in learning about financial literacy this year as well! They are focusing on the skills needed to manage money wisely. They’ve covered everything from budgeting and saving, to understanding how taxes and deductions affect their earnings. The students have enjoyed calculating their net and gross pay. They’re also learning about deductions like PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and how it impacts their take-home income.
