We are on day 14 of our 45 day initiative known as GeneroCity Market. In the first 2 weeks, friends of Canopy Life Academy have sold over $500 worth of goods and given the money to benefit school children in Kenya. We are so excited and blessed by what has come in so far and want to say thank you to everyone who has listed and bought items through GeneroCity Market!
At $500, we are off to a great start, but we still have a long way to go before the Market closes on October 15. Here’s what you can do:
Sell something. It has been fun to see the creativity people have used in choosing the items they will sell. Cameras, drum kits, rock climbing gear, Keurigs, and artwork – just to name a few! The cool part is everyone has something in their home they no longer need. My sister has lived abroad for the past five years, and everything she owns fits into five or six suitcases. She looked through the rooms in her home and chose a high end hair straightener she no longer uses. It sold within a day!

Buy an item. There is awesome stuff being added to the site daily! The items are all in excellent condition and 100% of money raised is being used to benefit the children of Canopy Life Academy in Kenya. Not only are you getting an amazing deal, your money is going to an amazing cause!
